Catholic Coffee, From Catholic Farms to Your Cup
Plenty of coffee wears a Catholic label. Knights Coffee is Catholic at every step of the chain — grown on land owned by a Catholic diocese, harvested by Catholic farming families who are paid fairly and directly, roasted in small batches, and sold so that 100% of net profits support seminarians in need. That is what Catholic coffee means when it is more than a name.
Grown on Church Land
Our primary farm land sits in the Matagalpa highlands of Nicaragua, and it is owned by the Diocese of Matagalpa itself. Revenue from the crops grown there funds the diocese's apostolic works and community programs and pays dignified wages to the laborers who farm the land. When the Church owns the farm, the harvest funds the mission twice — once in the field, and again in the parish.
The highlands give the coffee what it needs: volcanic soil, natural shade, and cool mountain temperatures, so the cherries ripen slowly and arrive dense, sweet, and balanced.
Bought Directly From Catholic Families
We call our sourcing model Catholic Trade: buying directly from Catholic farming families at a fair price above the commodity market, because a fair price is a matter of justice, not generosity. Our first partnership began in 2018 with Rolyn and Lorena Garcia, a smallholder family in Matagalpa. Paid fairly and directly, their coffee income has since built their family's home, funded a literacy program, put beds under neighbors who had none, and stocked a chicken coop.

A Growing Region Consecrated to Our Lady
Our farms sit in the Mountain of Peace region of Matagalpa, a region consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by 65 bishops from across Latin America and the Caribbean. The coffee in your cup was grown on ground that has been prayed over — by the Church, for the Church.
Roasted in Small Batches, Shipped Fresh
We roast in small batches and bag within hours of roasting, so what arrives at your door tastes like the place it came from. Choose from six roasts — Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Justice, and Patience decaf — as whole bean or ground, in 12 oz bags, 2.2 lb bags, 5 lb bags, and K-Cups.

Every Bag Supports Seminarians
When you buy Knights Coffee, 100% of net profits go to seminarians in need — and at checkout you can designate your own diocese. The men studying for the priesthood get support; farming families get justice; you get fresh, small-batch coffee with a story worth telling at the parish hall.
Build Your Bundle — pick your roasts, subscribe if you'd like, and we'll roast and ship them fresh. Or shop the roasts one bag at a time.
